Procedures for Donation of Securities

1. Send a letter of instruction to your broker referencing Temple Micah's account to which the shares should be transferred.  Contact the Treasurer for the account information.

2. Notify the Temple office and Treasurer of the name of stock being transferred, the number of shares, and which account (dues, religious school, etc.) you would like credited. It's easiest to do this by emailing the Treasurer and the Temple administrator. You can also fax a copy of your letter of instruction to the Temple office at 202-342-9179, but make sure the information reaches the Treasurer so that the stock can be sold promptly.

We do incur some fees in connection with the sale of securities.  We credit your account with the full amount that is credited to our bank account on the sale of your securities.

Please donate only publicly-traded corporate stock. We can't accept mutual fund shares because it requires us to open an account with the mutual fund company.
